Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) FM adjunct Station Manage position for the Orange Media Network (OMN) at Oregon State University (OSU). The KBVR-FM adjunct Station Manager is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and training new DJs, and taking lead on programming for KBVR-FM, including programming schedule, music logs, and DJ seniority list. Position tasks Job responsibilities: » adjunct Station Manager Responsibilities » Plan and organize all DJ training sessions - at least once per term. » Develop and update training documents for DJs » Maintain and update DJ seniority list all over the year and keep previous terms' lists on file » Provide DJs with materials needed to carry out on-air responsibilities (green sheets, Spinitron account, ticket binder info) » Create a program schedule at the beginning of each term and finalize Information technology by week 2 » On a weekly basis, check the green sheets (DJ operator logs) and Spinitron to ensure DJs are meeting requirements, including logging music, attending required shows, and communicating absences. Collaborate with FM Station Manager to share this workload as needed » Notify station manager and adviser of any FCC violations » Host 2-4 DJ info sessions per term as delegated by the Station Manager » Monitor the suggestions channel on Discord » Help connect KBVR with student organizations by reaching out about live events » Post regularly to KBVR-FM's social media accounts, under the direction of the FM station manager and Social Media Manager » Recruit DJ's to help in gathering content for social media » Assist Music Director with running weekly DJ meetups/music collective » Contribute to Cassette music blog at least once per term » Update the KBVR-FM website to keep its information accurate and significant » Attend weekly cohort meeting » Other tasks as assigned by the adviser and Director Communication » Respond to emails, messages and phone calls the same day, professionally representing OMN » Notify adviser immediately should any ethical, legal, personnel or controversial problems occur Collaboration » Hold and post regular office hours each week for Orange Media Network, at least half of which should be during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
