Facilities Services is responsible for the facilities support of all University real property including repair planning, minor renovation and construction, utilities, maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping. Facilities Services is part of Administration and Finance and falls under the responsibility of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Operations who reports to the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Job tasks tasks of this position include, but are not limited to, heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, and materials for special events. The position will be expected to work as an integral part of the moving services team and should be able to interact with staff, faculty, and students. Good physical condition and having the capability to execute strenuous manual labor for extended periods of time are important to the function. Some overtime will be required. Minimum Education/practice Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to execute the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education practice in moving and driving a large box van/moving truck. License or Certification Required by the Department Candidates should possess a valid NC driver license and be eligible to operate a state-owned vehicle in conformity with the ECU property policy.
