We are pursuing practiced and ambitious individuals to join us in our Monterey, Santa Barbara, and Napa studios as Design Staff. The ideal candidate: » Is highly creative, with a keen design sense and passion for creating beautiful, sophisticated landscapes. » Shares our philosophy that environmental stewardship, regenerative design/construction, and unparalleled aesthetics are tantamount. » Has extraordinary technical expertise and is equally at home working as part of a dynamic, collaborative project team or independently on self-directed tasks. » Is familiar with all phases of design, documentation, and construction and approaches their work with rigor, integrity, and professionalism. These are full-time in-person positions in our Monterey, Napa, and Santa Barbara studios with a competitive income that is commensurate with practice. PRIMARY Job responsibilities: » Work directly under the project managers in a supportive function producing: » Site analysis drawings » Project Research » Schematic design presentations » 2D graphics » 3D digital models » Construction documents » Presentation materials » Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of tasks » Assist with client meetings and site reconnaissance » Possess a general knowledge of the basic principles of landscape architecture is required, including: » Site design » Grading and drainage » Plant material » Working drawings » Construction materials » Construction details » Develop Progressive graphic expertise and an aptitude for digital media and software: » MAC OSX » Vectorworks Landmark, current year » SketchUp » MS Office Suite » Adobe Design Suite » Hand sketching and lettering QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: » A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture » A minimum of three years’ practice in the residential design sector » Currently authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future TO APPLY: Please email your resume, cover letter, and portfolio/samples of significant work in PDF format.
