Murrey Atkins Library income Range Primary Purpose of Department The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative and service goals. Primary Purpose of Position The Servers & Systems Analyst position manages Linux and Windows virtual servers and cloud-located infrastructure, supports specialized hardware and software, and manages vendor relationships. The position engages with clients and other members of the OneIT-Academic Affairs team to design, document, and execute technical solutions for the Career Center, Library, and Office of International Programs server, infrastructure, and specialized equipment needs. Summary of Position Responsibilities » Red Hat Linux and Windows server administration (deploying, configuring, upgrading, patching, backup management). » Management of document scanning, people counter, and kiosk hardware. » Support of and instruction in specialized software applications. » Use security best practices in server administration and application development work. Minimum Education/practice » Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 2-4 years of significant work practice; or » Equivalent combination of education and practice in an IT-related function.
