The Fine Art GroupThe Fine Art Group (TFG) is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on internships for recent graduates and individuals with recent auction practice. Our internship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand practice in all the core elements of the art agency division of the firm. The intern will work directly with the extended art agency team. expertise of Art History and Auction practice is essential and an academic specialization or practical practice in art advisory is a plus.We are seeking for college students and recent college graduates for our Philadelphia, PA and our New York, NY area offices on a FT, 3 to 4 month basis. We are seeking for interns who: - Auction & Collections Management practice highly recommended - Has a keen interest in and expertise of fine art (AND/OR antiques, tangible assets, collectibles etc) - Has an outstanding work ethic and know how to prioritize and manage their time efficiently and effectively - Would be described by their peers as "detail-oriented," ?professional," and "accountable" - Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive managing multiple projects on tight deadlines • Is a team player and has the capability to take initiative and think creatively while working autonomously • Is excited to be a collaborative member of the team and lgain the in's and out's of the Art Advisory & Agency industry - Has a keen interest and corresponding work practice and/or studies in art history. - Is motivated and interested in both the gallery and auction markets and is interested to work in these markets. - Computer expertise - Apple Mac OS, MS Office, Photoshop, Internet savvy Intern Training Opportunities and responsibilities may include:: - Research and catalogue valuable collectibles and fine art - Maintain and update agency clients in PMA database as well as share drive - Formatting and editing documents for grammatical and spelling errors - Photoshopping, editing, and cropping images - Photographing of art and objects - Create client presentations via PowerPoint or Word, as needed - Help track our IC due for each sale and follow-up with auction houses for any missing or late payments - Assist in managing and placing consignments in exhibitions and museums globally - Provide administrative & operational support to the staff as needed This Internship offers a modest weekly stipend.
