Join our dedicated Campus Recreation and Wellness (CRW) team as a Sports Program manager! this function offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain valuable practice in superviseing and managing sports programs. You will play a crucial function in enhancing the well-being of the campus community through organized sports activities. CRW is committed to creating an environment of belonging and well-being and supports the Division of Student Affairs' commitment to purposeful well-being. Job responsibilities: » Supervise and manage intramural sports programs and games. » Train, schedule, and evaluate sports officials and scorekeepers. » Ensure the safety and fair play of all participants. » Assist with the setup and breakdown of sports equipment and facilities. » Provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators. » Promote CRW sports programs and encourage student participation. » Travel to and from off-site activities in CRW vehicles while adhering to all applicable University policies/procedures. » Ensure safety through proper First Aid, CPR, and EAP training. » Check-in teams and ensure waivers/forms are completed before each contest. » Work nights and weekends to include at least two shifts per calendar week. » Perform hourly activity level counts at various CRW facilities. Preferred (Majors, practice, GPA, etc.) Preferred (Majors, GPA): Majors that may find this a good fit include, but are not limited to: » Kinesiology » Recreation and Park Management » Sports Management » Exercise Physiology General Appropriate qualifications: » practice in sports or officiating preferred » Strong leadership abilities and communication expertise » capability to work independently and as part of a team » expertise of sports rules and regulations (preferred) » CPR and First Aid certification required.
