Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) in the department of chemistry at Oregon State University (OSU).. In this position, you will produce content for print, digital and social media channels and gain hands on practice. You will write about a wide variety of topics such as: Chemistry student activities, faculty and student profiles, academic programs, Department news, ground breaking research, events, scholarships, and anything that will engage readers while raising the visibility and impact of chemistry. The anticipated hourly pay rate for this position is $15.00 Position tasks » Write and research interesting stories for our website and newsletters. » Identify photos and graphics to complement stories. » Write copy and help with flyers for lectures and other events. » Lgain how to post content using Drupal, our content management system. » Use and perfect your social media expertise to help increase consciousness among our key audiences. » Proofread stories for grammatical errors and OSU/connected PressStyle. » Adhere to the OSU's brand, tone, voice and style as well as bestpractices. » Consult with our team to assess copy needs, audiences andobjectives. » Able to manage your own projects. » Lgain team-building and collaboration expertise. » Participate in weekly creative team meetings as schedules permit Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
