Minimum QualificationsEducation Required1. Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. 2. Current Certified Pharmacy Technician ( CPHT ) credential. 3. North Carolina license as a Pharmacy Technician or the capability to attain one prior to hire. practice Required 1. Three years' recent industry practice as a pharmacy technician either in a retail or medical environment. 2. Post-secondary teaching practice and/or industry training practice. Department/Job Specific Requirements 1. Must be flexible in the delivery of the Instructional format (e.g. face-to-face, hybrid). 2. Must be able to teach at Hamlet, Rockingham, or Laurinburg Campuses. 3. May involve some evening hours (depending on class schedules). Physical Demands 1. May include teaching day and evening and/or weekend hours. 2. Physical Requirements: a. Stand for extended periods of time, b. Lift at least 25 pounds

Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing quality instruction to students enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician course. The purpose of the instruction is to equip students with the necessary occupation-specific and employcapability expertise for success in the workplace.This position is also responsible for maintaining required documents: class rosters, course syllabus, Student Membership Verification ( SMV ) forms, Classroom Sign in/out logs, student grade book, student progress notes, etc. Additionally, all adjuncts are required to complete Moodle training to build and/or maintain a Moodle site for hybrid or online courses and to access the Instructor Resource Site. Teaching Prepare & teach departmental courses to include maintain current course syllabi, employ teaching strategies & instructional materials for different learning styles. Stay current in teaching discipline. Incorporate student textbook websites as learning tools. Model employcapability expertise and demonstrate professionalism. Administration Provide everyday & continuing oversight of facilities and equipment to include maintaining classroom, computer lab spaces, maintain the upkeep and care of equipment as assigned, and capability to effectively implement and apply technology solutions. Provide everyday & continuing oversight for class paperwork: Turn in completed monthly class rosters to the Dean's Office in a timely manner for payroll. Maintain student grade reports and progress reports. Student Support Provide an environment conducive to student success to include covering student concerns, assisting students to develop strategies for success, and Refer students to campus and community resources, as appropriate. Professional Development Support program endeavors to include attend instructor training meetings, complete required eLearning training online, schedule and complete textbook websites instructor training webinars. Employ appropriate classroom management strategies. Demonstrate and model the College's employcapability expertise: adaptcapability, communication, information processing, problem solving, responsibility and teamwork. Additional tasks and Job responsibilities: Perform all tasks as assigned by manager.
