Position Summary:
Under the direction of the VP, CSG and Station Initiatives, supports the Community Service Grants (CSG) program as the first line of communication between the Office of Grants Administration (OGA) and station grantees. Provides technical support to grantees accessing CSG online services including live and pre-recorded webinars. Supports the development and delivery of CSG online and in-person training programs for grantees and assists in the review of applications to the radio CSG program.
Compensation:
The hiring income range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 (full income range goes to $99,130). Exact income located upon practice, education related to the function, CPB compensation structure and internal equity. Annual income increases and bonus award located on performance against annual objectives and position responsibilities.

Work Location and Hybrid Work Environment:
CPB is conveniently located in downtown NW DC at 401 Ninth St. NW, Washington, DC, amidst easy access to all Metro lines and ample garage parking. We are a largely local workforce and value employee flexibility, when possible. This is a hybrid work position, with in-person workdays at CPB's office, along with teleworking, as approved by the position's Department Head.
Specific tasks:
   » Serves as the primary support staff for the OGA.
   » Serves as the first line of communication between OGA and grantees by responding to incoming telephone and e-mail communications, providing both general and technical customer support. Redirects inquiries or problems to other OGA staff, as appropriate.
   » Coordinates receipt of needed information from grantees, including the TV Local Content and Service Reports and Radio Audience Service Criteria Reports, and communicates with them regarding their grant status. Reviews grantee certifications to help determine CSG eligibility.
   » Reviews the CSG Agreement and Certification of Eligibility forms submitted by grantees for accuracy and completeness and communicates with station representatives on discrepancies, needed revisions and/or problems.
   » Coordinates, gathers, and reviews applications and data for stations seeking to enter and exit the radio CSG program.
   » Helps the OGA design and execute annual online and in-person training to support grantees' compliance with the terms and conditions of their grant awards, contributing expertise of effective training principles and practice with presentation software such as PowerPoint.
   » Coordinates the implementation of harassment and bias avoidance training (HBPT) provided to grantees by CPB through a third-party vendor. Solves issues with the OGA, CPB's contract administrator, Information technology department, and the vendor to ensure easy, reliable access by grantees to the self-paced online training. Provides grantee technical assistance. Designs and implements online training for grantees on the annual HBPT requirement and how to use the no-cost training option. Tracks and reports grantees' use.
   » Edits, tracks, and coordinates delivery of annual CSG notifications regarding changes in CSG eligibility and grant designations.
   » Provides administrative support to OGA staff during CSG grant calculations and performs other tasks as assigned.
Required Education and practice:
   » Bachelor's degree or combination of equivalent coursework and work practice.
   » Four years related work practice in a position requiring expertise in administration, project management, and/or grants and contract administration or management.
Required expertise, expertise, and Abilities:
   » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise with the capability to generate original correspondence and reports.
   » Demonstrated interpersonal expertise with the capability to interact professionally with a variety of people both internal and external to CPB.
   » capability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.
   » Strong organizational and time management expertise with the capability to effectively manage multiple tasks and issues of varying complexity with attention to detail.
   » Proficiency in computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database programs; strong web-located research and analytical expertise.
Desired practice:
   » Prior work practice in teaching, instruction, or training and presentation development.
   » Proficiency in PowerPoint and basic expertise of online and in-person learning pedagogies.
