Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill five part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Innovation Labs Student Technical adjunct positions for the College of Engineering (COE) at Oregon State University (OSU). The CoE Innovation Labs Student Technical adjunct is responsible for completing: » Technical machine tool service and calibration » Machine and product design » Research machining projects using CNC and additive manufacturing processes » Implementing 5s workspace organizational projects Position tasks » 25%: Service and calibration CNC machine tools, additive manufacturing equipment and specialized machining equipment. » 25%: Design and development activities related to machine tool improvements and accessories products and research or facility related projects. » 25%: Research machining » 25%: Lab organizational work implementing lean and 5s principles in the lab operations. Additional Required Qualifications » practice Manual and CNC machining equipment » practice designing products using CAD tool (Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, etc.) » Demonstrated practice working with mechanical components, power transmission systems, and electrical systems.
