Work Schedule 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.

Primary Purpose of Position The primary purpose of this position is to process Federal Direct and private alternative loans. This position also provides assistance and information to students and parents regarding federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs as well as general administrative support to the Senior adjunct Director for Loans.

Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
Graduation from high school and one year of related office practice; or an equivalent combination of education
and practice.

University Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
Graduation from high school and demonstrated expertise, expertise, and abilities gained through three years of specialized office practice or an equivalent combination of education and practice.

Essential Job tasks
   » Manage a dedicated caseload for processing Federal Direct PLUS and Alternative Loan applications.
   » Process Loan Change request forms submitted by loan borrowers.
   » Review changes to students' loan eligibility due academic progress and update award as necessary.
   » Provide follow-up to students and/or parents on outstanding items such as incomplete or missing loan application requirements for processing.
   » Problem solve loan errors from lenders or Dept. of Education.
   » Assist the Senior adjunct Director of Loans with other projects as needed.

Other Work Responsibilities Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.

   » High School Diploma Required
   » Associate degree or higher in related field preferred
   » A minimum of 1 year higher education practice preferred
   » expertise of federal Title IV and state regulations or practice working in a similar capacity within higher education
   » expertise of Financial Aid management systems
   » Working expertise of basic accounting principles
   » Excellent mathematical and analytical expertise
   » practice working independently and demonstrated initiative
   » capability to be a team player with a strong work ethic
   » Strong oral and written communication expertise
   » capability to work with diverse populations
   » Must be detail-oriented, with the capability to self-manage multiple projects while working under deadlines during peak times of the year
   » Must have a strong commitment to customer service and student success
