Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree in significant area and three (3) years of appropriate practice at the NCAA D1 intercollegiate level; and a NATA Certification;

OR a Master's Degree in significant area, one (1) year of appropriate practice at the NCAA D1 intercollegiate level; and a NATA Certification.

Special Conditions: The department is especially interested in candidates with a Master's degree in a related field and practice in a Division I setting.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Will require work beyond normal schedule including some early mornings, evenings, weekends, as well as holidays and travel.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Performs injury and illness avoidance, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation. Provides first aid and emergency care coverage during practices, competitions, training sessions, and travel for assigned sports. Designs and performs rehabilitation exercise programs for injured athletes. Applies preventative taping and/or bracing to prevent or protect against athletic injuries. Administers therapeutic modality treatment to injured athletes. Ensure athlete medical forms, waivers, and injury documentation are up to date while maintaining privacy and professional guidelines.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Utilize expertise and skills to educate participants and manage risk for safe performance and function. Inform coaches, student athletes, administrators, and other Athletic Training staff on safe practice policies and procedures. Employ standard care procedures and communicate results for efficient and appropriate care of injured student athletes with manager, coaches, and other medical staff where appropriate. Coordinate student athlete transportation to various doctor appointments, treatment facilities, and classes as needed.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Make appropriate recommendations for safety purposes and continuance or suspension of activities. Ensures appropriate medical supplies and equipment are available for venue and including sideline and locker room. Inform student athletes, coaches, and parents on the importance of acclimatization and fluid/electrolyte balance to prevent heat illness, asthmatic, and sickle cell events. Initiate venue specific emergency action plan or emergency management strategies when necessary.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Must maintain BOC certification, State of Tennessee Licensure, and CPR/AED certification. Stays current in the athletic training field through continuing education classes and industry-specific publications

tasks & Job responsibilities: Assist Director of Sports Medicine, Olympic Sports in managing and maintaining sports program facility athletic training room assets including supply inventory. Evaluate for building/equipment repair needs. Maintain emergency medical and rehabilitation equipment. Report any/all issues as needed for repair/service to manager.
