Rooted firmly in the east side of Howell Mountain and the product of a distinct microclimate and rugged terrain, Ink Grade seek to honor the heritage of this vineyard and the purity of mountain fruit. This cult brand's primary focus is on direct sales with a select wholesale allocation. Haynes|Trailside is a historical estate in Napa, CA. We are situated at the heart of the Coombsville AVA just east of Downtown Napa, one of the cooler regions of the Napa Valley. Producing around 100 tons of fruit each year, Haynes Vineyard has 32 acres planted to a number of varietals being farmed organically with biodynamic emphasis. With a winegrowing first philosophy, we take great care and pride in how we treat the soil. Our farming focuses to maintain the quality and longevity of our old vine plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which were both planted in 1967. General Position Overview: This position owns the collection and recording of financial data and drives the analysis of monthly results of the Estates. The ideal candidate is a strategic accounting and finance leader with a passion toward operational excellence, great attention to detail and proven capability to work prosperously with leadership abilities. Information technology will interact highly with winemakers, estate directors and management of affiliated entities. As the organization implements new technologies and the needs of the team evolve, the ideal candidate will be willing to take on new or additional responsibilities. The Estates implemented Microsoft Business Central and plans to implement additional technology. The ideal candidate will embrace and be heavily involved with the implementation of these technologies. Job responsibilities: Own the general ledger for Estates and ensure timely recording of transactions, including but not limited to the following: DTC sales and cash collection Deferred revenue Grape purchases Cost accounting (grapes and finished wine) Inventory (tracking, transfers, location reconciliations, book-to-physical adjustments, etc.) Prepaids Accruals Coordinate with outsourced accounts payable to ensure bills are recorded and paid timely Cash management, including oversight of the weekly cash models Streamline and manage the monthly close process, with partnership of affiliated entities Partner with the FP&A team to prepare monthly financial statements, including variance reporting, and present to management as necessary Assist FP&A team with annual budgeting cycle Coordinate/assist with Compliance Manager on all compliance reporting including sales tax Support/liaison for tax reporting Partner with outside accountants and service providers as necessary Ad-hoc analysis as necessary to support the Estates Lead audits / reviews as necessary Key team member in the continued implementation of new technologies, including but not limited to: ERP: Microsoft Business Central POS/e-commerce system: Commerce7 Forecasting: Adaptive Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, CPA is a plus 7+ years of accounting work practice preferred, with a prosperous track record of advancement within an organization. practice in the wine industry or other CPG industry is a plus Solid knowledge of GAAP and how to balance that with managerial accounting, which is inevitably more important to executive and owner decision-making Advance expertise in Excel and proficient with other Microsoft office programs is a plus ERP practice, notably Microsoft Navision or Microsoft Business Central, is highly desirable Strong communication expertise: written and oral. capability to communicate with employees at all levels Excellent command of written and spoken English Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to prosperously perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
