Job tasks Reporting to the Provost, the dean is the Chief Academic and Administrative agent of the College of Business. As such, the dean is the college's advocate and is responsible for faculty, curriculum, budgets, and fund raising. The dean has final responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing all instruction, research, and service activities in the college. The dean also has fiscal responsibility for state budgets and private foundation accounts and ensures that academic programs comply with ECU and University of North Carolina system regulations, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accrediting bodies. Contingent upon availcapability of funds.
