Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill up to 3 Student Clerical (Student Processing adjunct) positions for the Office of Admissions at Oregon State University (OSU) during the Summer 2024 term . This position will have the option to continue into the following academic year as a part time position (a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 20 hours per week). Student Processing adjuncts play an extremely important function for the Office of Admissions at OSU. In this function, you will aid in providing a smooth practice for those applying to Oregon State University by ensuring a high level of customer service in person, over email, or through online live-chat. You will also assist in completing application files by processing incoming transcripts and other application documents. You will be provided supplemental projects in addition to these standard responsibilities, as your expertise of Admissions policies and systems grows. You can expect to develop expertise in communication, problem solving, process improvement, and professional etiquette. Position tasks Mail Processing: Collect and process both incoming and outgoing mail. Sort and deliver incoming mail to appropriate people (must be able to lift mail bins full of mail). Indexing/Batching: Scan and batch transcripts into OnBase (document imaging system), and index (attach) transcripts to appropriate student application files. Customer Service: Provide customer service to student candidates, parents, and campus partners. Assist customers in-person (walk-in), via email, and via live-chat. Other projects as assigned.
