Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree required in education, public administration, or other related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

Three years of progressively responsible work practice required, to include the evidence of the following:
   » Proven history of prosperous prospect research, grant development practice with both public and private agencies;
   » Proven record of advancement services; Rich background in conceptualizing and designing projects, programs and initiatives;
   » Exceptional written, communication, organizational and problem-solving expertise;
   » Strong interpersonal expertise and capability to function effectively as a team leader as well as part of a team;
   » capability to independently initiate, supervise and complete large, complex projects;
   » Advanced word processing, graphics and research expertise;
   » capability to draft clear, concise narratives, correspondence, budgets and other documents;
   » Demonstrated capability to collaborate with other institutions of higher education, schools, and agencies at the local, state and national levels.

Position Description

Statement of Primary Purpose
Supports the strategic plan, goals and objectives of the College and its community through: detecting and anticipating promising growth opportunities; aligning and integrating resource development initiatives within an institutional framework; and identifying, securing, mobilizing and deploying resources to advance College driven activities.

Classification
Program Administrator, full-time, exempt

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
   » Provide strategic leadership abilities for grants activities of the institution through:
   » Researching, developing/facilitating, writing, submission and administration of highly competitive grant applications in concert with appropriate units across the institution;
   » Coordinate and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting procedures/requirements outlined in each grant; and
   » Development and implementation of significant policies and procedures
   » Work with College senior administrative staff to:
   » Identify, anticipate and cultivate promising growth opportunities,
   » Integrate initiatives in support of the institutional strategic plan, and
   » Facilitate the development of strategic institutional priorities;
   » Collaborate with College faculty, staff and community partners in the development and administration of initiatives, programs, proposals and activities;
   » Provide coordination and support to the President's Office related to resource development programs, grants, special projects and strategic initiative development;
   » Provide leadership abilities and support for the establishment and maintenance of organizational relationships, partnerships and alliances;
   » Ensure the maintenance of centralized file systems for externally funded programs and other activities; coordinate the publication and maintenance of the grants web page and other electronic publications;
   » Act as a liaison with appropriate private and public funding agencies and organizations;
   » Interact with staff, students, the public, the community, donors, Board members and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous, and professional manner.

Additional tasks and Responsibilities
• Serve on committees and teams as assigned, and assist with the institution's reaccreditation process.
• supervise the preparation of the grant writing, compliance and execution of the grant writing and compliance annual unit planning goals.
• Facilitate grant-related professional development for faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Working Conditions and Environment
Office setting; periodic travel to meet with funders and partners; work hours could be unusual during peak periods, including weekends and evenings to meet deadlines
