Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (an anticipated 10 hours per week) BRS Student Worker position for Billing & Receivables at Oregon State University (OSU). Contribute to the operational success of the BRS by processing Journal Vouchers (JVs), preparing cash deposits, generating invoices, responding to emails, picking up and dropping off mail, taking deposits to the Cashier's Office, and other general accounting or office tasks. Position tasks » Under the direction of BRS manager or staff, enter Journal Vouchers (JVs) into Banner. In most cases, the accounting information (debits, credits, amounts, indexes, account codes, etc.) will be provided. » Enter cash deposits into the TouchNet Departmental Depositing System (the accounting information will be provided for each check to be deposited). » Generate invoices and process payments in QuickBooks. » Pickup and drop off BRS mail from various mailbox locations at or near the Student practice Center, The MU or Kerr Admin. » Take everyday deposits to the Cashier's Office. » Other tasks as assigned by manager. Working Conditions / Work Schedule » This would be a good opportunity for a student studying accounting to get practical practice. » The work location for this position is in Kerr Administrative Building and is 100% in office (no remote work).
