Job Opportunity: Producer, Multimedia Fundraising:WETAJob description: Producer, Multimedia Fundraising Listing description Producer, Multimedia Fundraising Full-Time, Exempt Reports to:Sr Director Multimedia Fundraising Job Objective The Producer, Multimedia Fundraising will design and drive TV, radio and digital pledge campaigns from conception, production and business planning through analysis of results. The Producer will coordinate the work of diverse internal and external contributors to these efforts. Essential Functions » Create and maintain TV pledge programming schedule. » Plans and executes the production of on-air and digital fundraising, including producing, scripting and editing. Report out campaign results, analyze year to year campaign data to inform campaign strategy. » Coordinate development and creation of graphics. » Work collaboratively with the Membership team to create strategy for public media pledge drives and to work with staff across the organization to produce engaging, effective fundraising content. » Work with Studio Production staff to coordinate studio production, lighting, video, audio and engineering efforts as they pertain to the pledge drives. » Assist as line producer of WETA Classical FM pledge drives. » Conduct research on my PBS, PledgeChat, Greater Public, TRAC Media, and other sources for trends, break points, message points, and best practices for on-air and digital fundraising production. » Maintain clear, prompt, everyday communication with station staff, including programmers, master control, traffic, promotions, digital - to keep them informed about the TV pledge programming schedule. » Other tasks as assigned. expertise & Abilities Required » practice with planning television and radio on-air fundraising campaigns including goals, themes, premium choices, and studio production resources to maximize membership revenue is critical in this function. Education and practice » Four-year college degree required, or equivalent additional years of practice in TV/Radio production, Marketing, Communications or related field. » Previous public media or non-profit fundraising practice preferred » Or equivalent combination of education and practice. LOCATION WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce located out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions located in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the function.
