Nature of Employment: Full time salaried position with benefits. Shared, open office environment. Regular business hours during the non-harvest season; extended hours/days as needed during harvest (Aug-Nov).

Job Overview: As the adjunct Winemaker, you will play a pivotal function in supporting all aspects of the winemaking process under the guidance of our practiced winemaking team. Our work will focus on the multiple outside custom-crush, storage, and bottling facilities to produce over 150 SKUs in 60+ brands, distributed all over the US and the wine-drinking world. You will gain practice in producing wine all over all price tiers and in working with fruit from multiple premium and luxury AVAs. Key Job responsibilities:
•  Bulk Wine Stcapability & Quality Optimization – track lab analyses, monitor facilities’ work order requests, maintain database, execute trials and QA tastings
•  New Product Development and Blending Support – support Winemakers in the design and execution of bottling blends and new product pitches
•  Bottling Support – monitor status of bottling projects
•  Harvest – track vineyard ripening, harvest supplies, and fermentation status for all lots across 8-12 crush facilities
•  Some general bulk wine sales and office support

Appropriate qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s Degree in Enology, Chemistry, Viticulture or other related field
•  2+ full years of winery practice beyond harvest internships
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
•  Well-rounded expertise of winemaking, fermentation, and laboratory procedures; and harvest, bottling, and productions workflows
•  Proficiency with wine management software; practice with InnoVint a plus
•  Possess strong organizational, logistical and critical thinking expertise along with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks
•  Possess excellent written and oral communication expertise. Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
•  capability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
•  US Citizenship or valid, current work Visa
•  Valid CA driver’s license and reliable vehicle and capability to drive to visit facilities as needed
•  Available to work a varied schedule during the harvest season as needed
•  Submit to background check on a conditional offer of employment
