Posting DetailsPosting InformationPosting Number: FAE1777 Advertised Title: Research adjunct Professor, School of Public Health Campus Job location: Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number: L24133 Job Category: Full-Time Faculty Department: School of Public Health Position Summary: The School of Public Health (SPH) at the University of Memphis (UofM) is seeking to hire two (2) non-tenure-track Research adjunct Professors in areas of health communication, health informatics, digital health, health equity, health policy, and/or public health interventions to join our interdisciplinary collaborative team. prosperous candidates are expected to develop an active research program, secure funding in promising areas of research, play a function in teaching undergraduate and graduate students, student advising, enhance existing educational programs, and develop collaborations within the school, university, and with external partners. The SPH at the UofM is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. The school's mission is to advance the health and well-being of all populations while engaging C ommunities, being an A nchor institute offering innovative academic programs, driving R esearch-located solutions, supporting E ntrepreneurship and innovation, and remaining S tudent-centric (CARES). Spencer Award for Outstanding Community Service in 2024 by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: Candidates for these positions must hold a significant doctoral degree (PhD or DrPH) in public health or a related discipline and meet academic requirements for consideration as an adjunct Professor. Also required are the capability to teach prosperously, demonstrated scholarship, and the capability to collaborate and cooperate with others for the wellbeing of the institution's mission. Special Conditions: A preferred candidate should: · have strong scholarly productivity, practice, and potential to seek and secure extramural funding. · develop and maintain an active research and academic publication agenda. · proficiency in one or more statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, R, Stata, or Python. · have commitment to excellence in multimodal undergraduate and graduate instruction and innovative pedagogies. · have passion for student mentoring and a commitment to participate in program development. · have an excellent oral and written communication expertise and the capability to effectively work with others.
