Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of adjunct professor in the area of thermal-fluid sciences. The prosperous candidate must demonstrate a specialization in either experimental methodologies or computational analysis/simulation of complex models involving thermal-fluid systems. candidates should hold undergraduate and PhD degrees in mechanical or a cognate area, with the proven capability for excellence in both teaching and research in the aforementioned areas. tasks will include teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, developing laboratory facilities, supervising graduate and undergraduate student research, and undertaking an active, funded research program. income will be commensurate with qualifications and practice significant for the advertised position.

What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities

   »Teaching : Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, aligned with the department's curriculum and learning objectives. Provide effective instruction, mentorship, and academic advising to students. Employ innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning results.
   »Research : Establish and lead an independent, externally funded research program in an area of mechanical engineering specialization. Conduct high-impact research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present findings at national and international conferences. Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and pursue partnerships with industry and government agencies.
   »Service : Contribute to departmental, university, and professional service activities, including committee assignments, curriculum development, accreditation processes, and outreach initiatives. Participate in academic governance, engage in community service, and represent the department at professional conferences and events.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to execute a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & practice):
   » An earned undergraduate in mechanical engineering and PhD degrees in mechanical or a cognate area.
   » Proven capability for excellence in both teaching and research in the areas significant to the position.
   » Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
   » Evidence of research publications in the areas mentioned in the position description in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings within the past 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & practice):
   » Those with industry practice and/or prior teaching practice are preferred. A strong record of research and publications is desired
