Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of practice in a collegiate or professional Strength & Conditioning program.
Must currently hold and maintain CSCS or SCCC certification.
Current CPR/AED certification is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Special Conditions: Screening of candidates will begin immediately.

The department is especially interested in candidates who hold a master's degree and with Division I practice working with basketball sports programs.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Will require work and travel beyond normal schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Working Conditions: While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Design and implement athletic performance training for assigned sports.
Collaborate and assist sports medicine with implementing training programs that incorporate and focus on potential injury risk and preventative measures.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Exercise Techniques:
Teaches and supervises proper lifting techniques and assists in spotting when necessary.
Assist athletic performance department in day to day operations and provide assistance and coverage with athletic performance staff when traveling with assigned teams.

Demonstrates an knowledge of human muscle physiology in order to appropriately design safe and effective exercise programs and obtain desired results.
Demonstrates an knowledge of human bioenergetics and metabolism in order to appropriately design safe, effective and activity-specific exercise programs and obtain desired results.

supervise all aspects of fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation of individual athletes.

Works in collaboration with director of nutrition to assist in the education and performance for student-athletes.
Recognizes symptoms and behaviors connected with eating disorders utilizing physical performance evaluations and observations. Assist in oversight of Nutrition Fueling station
