Join a national award-winning, multi-media production team at the home of the Crimson Tide! The Center for Public Television and Radio at the University of Alabama is seeking a Associate Creative Media Producer/Social Media Specialist to develop and produce story driven content for multiple platforms. This is a unique opportunity to create high quality multi-media content for a statewide audience. The position will work with a professional team of producers and journalists whose work has earned multiple Emmys for documentaries and promotional videos, national Edward R. Murrow Awards for outstanding reporting, and the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Radio Journalism.

We are seeking for a self-motivated individual with the critical thinking expertise to identify and produce stories that appeal to a public broadcasting audiences across multiple delivery platforms-from traditional broadcast to online streaming to social media. This is your chance to tell stories about the people, news, food, music, industry and history of Alabama. The ideal candidate will have strong writing expertise, a curiosity about a wide variety of topics, and an interest in mentoring students. practice in creating video and audio content is highly desirable.

Founded in 1955, CPT&R is a vibrant and motivated television and radio production center whose portfolio includes television and radio series and documentaries on a wide variety of topics, from sports to arts and culture to health and business. Located in a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art digital media center in Bryant Denny Stadium, CPT&R is a teaching laboratory for the College of Communication and Information Sciences, allowing professionals to engage students in significant, real-world practice.
