Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill seven part-time CAMP Peer Ambassador positions for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Oregon State University (OSU). CAMP Peer Ambassadors (CPAs) will support CAMP's effort to facilitate a prosperous college transitional practice for the incoming 2024-25 CAMP cohort. CPAs, referred to as mentors, will be working with CAMP during START Bilingue, Summer Bridge Week as well as the three terms (fall, winter, spring) of the 2023-2024 academic year. Due to the structure of the Peer Mentor Program CPA's hours worked are distributed as follows: Fall - 6 hours/week, Winter & Spring - 3 hours/week. Participating in events or other activities will be time volunteered. As a CPA you will help to create a welcoming environment and familiarize CAMP Scholars with college life. A special emphasis will be placed on academic growth. You will receive continuing training all over the year, using the curriculum from the ALS 107: CAMP Orientation course to guide your conversation with mentees. In addition, CPAs will help the new CAMP Scholars navigate college life at OSU by providing the students with information about available resources on campus, educating them about the expectations of higher learning, and encouraging participation in all CAMP activities.
