Job Summary The Department of Mathematics within the College of Science invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, fixed-term Instructor position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head.

Instructors in the College of Science and the Department of Mathematics are expected to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, advising, and other instructional activities. Instructors are expected to maintain high standards of collegiality, professional integrity, availability to accept work assignments, and to demonstrate commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusivity in the department, the institution, and the profession.

This position reports to the Department Head, who determines work assignments and annual contract renewal subject to satisfactory job performance and budget availcapability.

   » Masters in Mathematics, or related field, earned before start date (anticipated start September 16, 2024).
   » Teaching practice at the college or university level.
   » Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
   » Commitment to open-mindedness for diverse ideas, including those different from one's own, and to free inquiry located on evidence and criticism.
What We Would Like You to Have
   » PhD in Mathematics, or related field,
   » At least three years of full-time university or college level teaching practice.
   » Demonstrated record of professional development as an educator.
