Position Summary Information

Job Summary/Basic Function: About this function:

The Administrative adjunct will perform clerical and administrative tasks of a medical and mental health clinic. tasks include but not limited to scheduling appointments, checking in patients, establish and maintain files and records, scanning documents, making referrals, and answering the phone and emails while strictly adhering to governmental privacy rules and regulations.

What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities
   » Responsible for everyday operations within the Student Health Center front office.
   » Assists with managing patient load, appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling across all areas in Student Health.
   » Assists with tickets, student eligibility and insurance status for students.
   » Collaborates with university entities to ensure the exemplary student support and success.
   » Manages data collection for all areas as assigned.
   » Assists with non-recurring programming as needed across all areas.
   » Performs other tasks as assigned.

Key Competencies
   » expertise of electronic medical charting software: Medicat preferred.
   » expertise of college or university clinic and campus operations.
   » capability to manage multiple appointments, requests, and front office tasks simultaneously.
   » capability to execute data and report requests, electronic correspondence, and record requests.
   » capability to manage data reports for medical, counseling, and program utilization.
   » Actively participate in campus or community programming.

Physical Requirements

   » Able to lift 15 pounds and be able to execute a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings. Able to sit for extended periods.
Job Conditions

   » Emotionally challenging at times. Students, faculty, staff, and community members present with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs. Must be alert and identify potentially emergent situations with appropriate action. Handle disgruntled patrons while adhering to federal guidelines and university policy.

Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
   » High School diploma or equivalent
   » Two years' practice in a medical clinic or office setting
   » Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
   » Current practice with electronic medical charting and billing software
