With three decades of practice, we have broad practice in renovation, rehabilitation, preservation, and new construction projects in the New York City region. The firm resides in its own building in the Columbia Waterfront neighborhood of Brooklyn. The spacious studio has quiet, relaxed atmosphere conducive to focus. We strongly encourage a healthy work/life balance and are supportive of professional development. tasks: » Field work including recording and measuring existing conditions, photography. » Preparation/drafting of construction drawings under direction of principal or project manager. » Edits to drawings under direction of principal or project manager. » Presentation drawings and design development drawings including 3D models in Sketchup. » Research construction products and systems. » Supporting tasks during project construction phase such as handling submittals and samples. expertise: » Good verbal and written communication expertise. » Good hand drawing expertise appreciated. » Familiarity with US construction methods and materials. » Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Applications. » Good organizational expertise, attention to detail and problem solving. Requirements: » 2 years full-time office practice. » practice with small to mid-sized renovation and new construction projects in an urban setting. » Eligible to work in the United States without need for sponsorship.
