Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) teaching adjunct for the BFA at Oregon State University (OSU). This is a part-time Teaching adjunct (TA) position for some sections of BA270 course. prosperous candidate will meet with instructor as needed and help with some activities such as: Reviewing and editing content on Canvas course site Grading and data entry Transcribing audio recordings of lectures Conducting Information technology lab help sessions (e.g., Microsoft Visio) prosperous candidate is expected to: Work one-on-one with students seeking academic help relating to BA270. (This may involve in- person and virtual meetings with students). Have good interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication expertise. Be organized and have good time management expertise Identify and help process any academic integrity violations that may occur in the BA270 course. prosperous candidate will have access to confidential student data such as Student ID, and data relating to BA270 grades, and hence must have high integrity, strong work ethics, and must abide by OSU and FERPA rules. The pay rate will be $15.20 per hour upon hire. Position tasks Typically, the job is expected to impose an average load of less than 10 hours per work. There is no set percentage of time for grading, canvas management etc. This will change on a weekly basis on a need basis. Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications candidates must have prosperously completed BA 270 (Business Process Management) course at Oregon State University with a grade of B+ or higher. candidates must be comfortable using and teaching MS Visio, and MS Office software as they relate to BA 270. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. Preferred (Special) Qualifications candidates must be interested in helping students with BA 270 related content. Excellent writing expertise will be much useful for BA 270 e-campus sections.
