Position DescriptionWhat you'll do on a typical dayThe Risk Management and Compliance agent is a full time 12 month position responsible for leadership abilities on all matters relating to risk and compliance within the College. The Risk Management and Compliance agent ensures the College is conducting business in full compliance with federal and state regulations as well as is the gatekeeper for all legal matters for the College. The Risk Management and Compliance agent reports to the Executive Vice President, Financial and Administrative Services. Essential Job Functions: » Leads investigations in all Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints » Initiates all calls with legal counsel » Coordinates with College executive leadership abilities to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the College's adherence to policies and procedures » Provides continuous improvement and revisions to College policies and procedures in conjunction with the Executive adjunct to the President » Leads all investigations involving worker's compensation claims » Provides grant compliance for program coordinators and the Director, Internal Controls & Special Projects » Plans and leads professional development to faculty and staff to ensure compliance and risk mitigation in all areas (Fair Labor Standards Act, EEOC, Discrimination, documentation of disciplinary actions, manager training, etc) » Leads all Title IX investigations involving faculty and staff » Assists and provides feedback to the Vice President, Student Affairs on all Title IX investigations involving students » Assists and provides feedback to the Vice President, Student Affairs on all student code of conduct investigations » Co-Leads emergency response preparedness in coordination with the Executive Vice President, Financial and Administrative Services and the Coordinator, Emergency Response Preparedness » Assists and provides feedback to the Director, Human Resources during the informal and formal grievance process and the dismissal process » Assists and provides feedback to the Chief Information agent on data security and cyber security risk » Serves as a member of the President's leadership abilities Council » Other tasks as assigned
