Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements):
1. Bachelor's Degree;
2. Five years of full-time or equivalent practice in project design, prospect research/ qualification/engagement, proposal development, and/or post-submission management.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
1. Master's Degree
2. Three years of full-time or equivalent practice working in development for a community college.
3. Grant Professional Certification; Certified Grant Developer, or Certified Fund-Raising Executive.
4. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

 

Position Description

Job Description Summary:
Provides leadership abilities, coordination, and implementation for sponsored programs procurement operation and fullfillment, and technical assistance for the Institutional Review Board.
tasks:
1. Leads the design process for projects being developed for inclusion in grant, contract or special/categorical funding applications including conceptual development, partner engagement, data retrieval and literature review, implementation plan development, staffing plan, evaluation plan development, budget development, and stakeholder support documentation.
2. Manages internal vetting process to include identification, qualification,RFPreview, funder engagement, bidder's conference attendance, and funding assistance process.
3. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with potential and current funders/sponsors to ensure appropriate consideration of applications and conducts prospect research by identifying qualifying funding opportunities available through local, state, and federal governmental agencies, as well as through private and corporate foundations.
4. Evaluates published requests for proposals and funding guidelines from government agencies, foundations, and other sources to determine funding probcapability and potential impact on college resources.
5. Develops, writes, and coordinates competitive application packages and related documents require for submission including letter of intent/inquiry, full proposal, contract bids, special/categorical funding responses, follow-up submissions, due diligence presentations, and site visits. Facilitates, edits, and supports application packages written by other college employees.
6. Informs principal investigators/project directors of any compliance issues regarding grantor agency regulations, and disallowances with their program. Assists in correcting discrepancies and monitors corrective actions. Ensures that data collection methods are consistent, and results are measurable and reported in conformity with funders' expectations.
7. Ensures that related post-award processes are coordinated appropriately by members of the grants & contracts team, including award setup, review, account setup verification, and ensuring that staff is set up appropriately. Maintains close communications with the College Business Office to support their grant financial accounting, reporting and audit functions. Ensure alignment with organizational financial practices.
8. Assists in monitoring the timely expenditure of funds and addresses discrepancies and concerns with grant program director and administrator.
9. Manages the legal, ethical, regulatory, and performance aspects of administering federal, state, and local government and privately funded grants to mitigate risk and ensure accountcapability and compliance.
10. Coordinates on-time submission, accuracy, and compliance of reports to grant funded projects. Maintain meticulous records of grant submissions, reports, and related communications. 11. Develops and updates grant administration reports to senior leadership abilities.
12. Disseminates information to appropriate College faculty, staff, and community partners about potential sponsored program opportunities. Offers professional development for and coaching/support to faculty and staff.
13. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, andRISECollege statement.
14. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
15. Performs other tasks as assigned.
