German Society of PennsylvaniaThe German Society of Pennsylvania is seeking attentive, trustworthy, and responsible individuals to fill the function of part-time Event Chaperone. We are seeking to hire more than one candidate for this function. Event Chaperones supervise rental events (weddings, recitals, parties, etc.) taking place in the German Society's historic building.Shifts vary in length, but usually range from 7-14 hours per shift. Candidates must be able to work weekends in addition to occasional weeknights. The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision and logistical support to rental clients while maintaining German Society facility policies and procedures. tasks include supervising deliveries, managing vendors, ensuring clients' compliance with event policies, troubleshooting, performing minor maintenance tasks, and other event support tasks. Event chaperones may also be asked to provide similar support at the German Society's own events in addition to rentals. The ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal expertise in order to communicate with clients, vendors, guests, and the public. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and make frequent rounds of all event areas on foot, including climbing stairs. All employees will undergo a criminal background check prior to starting. Event chaperones report to the Executive Director and the Vice President of Operations.
