How will your days be spent » Responsiblefor planning, programming, and the development of all types oflaboratories. » Participate and/orconduct client and user group meetings for needs assessment andimplement laboratory planning documentation. Prepare functional andspace programs for lab facilities. » With a thoroughknowledge of the latest laboratory furniture systems, labequipment and its impact on research areas, help clients/usersdetermine appropriate equipment placement andselection. » Develop labprogramming and planning documentation including lab functionalmodels, staffing, departmental relationships, and detailed labdesign for client meetings. Begin presenting ideas to clients,providing innovative, yet functional ideas andsolutions. » Responsible forquality control review of individual and team members’ work. Assistin the initial coordination of team members and outsideconsultants. » Workwith multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects on schedule andwithin budget. » Understand theprinciples of sustainable design. Incorporate those principles inall planning and design decisions. What you bring to this function practice: » Minimumof seven years of recent science planning practice with a focuson master planning, programming, and developing large complexlaboratory facilities required. » Abroad base of practice with a focus in science and technologyfacilities for academic, bio-pharmaceutical, government, or processplanning preferred. » Projectscompleted with multiple clients ideal. » Knowledge ofcodes, standards and guidelines as related to laboratories,individual municipalities, State, IBC, ADA, ANSI, NFPA, NSF, cGMP,and cGLP. Software: » Revitproficiency required. » Previouspractice with AutoCAD preferred. suitable education » connectedegree in architecture, engineering, planning or related fieldrequired; architectural degree preferred. » Professionalregistration preferred. » Sustaincapabilityaccreditation preferred.
