The College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for the position of Interim Head of the School of Civil and Construction Engineering (CCE). This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) 12-month appointment basis, interim position. income is commensurate with education and practice.

Oregon State University (OSU) seeks a dynamic and effective leader as Interim Head for the School of Civil and Construction Engineering (CCE). The Interim School Head will work closely with the Dean and the leadership abilities team of the College of Engineering (COE) on an ambitious agenda to address some of the world's most complex technological challenges in the areas of civil, construction, and architectural engineering. The Interim Head will help CCE identify future areas of growth and investment and will provide organizational and administrative skills for the College and the University during an exciting era of increased research productivity and greater societal impact. The Carnegie Classification for OSU is Doctoral University: Very High Research Activity.

CCE provides a comprehensive, state-of-the-art education that prepares over 800 undergraduate and 180 graduate students for prosperous careers in industry, government, and academia. The school currently consists of approximately 60 faculty and staff, including 42 full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty members and instructors, and offers B.S., M.S., M. Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering, as well as B.S. degrees in Construction Engineering Management and Architectural Engineering. CCE and the College of Forestry offer a dual degree program in Civil and Forest Engineering.

The school actively develops and maintains broad and deep relationships with alumni and industry. These relationships result in high job placement for students, frequent interaction with companies, in-kind donations, and endowment support of seven faculty scholars. In addition, CCE faculty have broad research collaborations with multiple OSU colleges in areas such as marine energy, forestry, materials, resilience, and safety. CCE is home to the Kiewit Center for Infrastructure and Transportation and the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Center.
