Act II PlayhouseAct II Playhouse, the professional, non-profit theatre in the heart of bustling Ambler PA, is hiring our next Director of External Relations.The Director of External Relations holds ultimate responsibility for the organization's fundraising activities. They manage foundation, corporate and individual donations through strategizing with leadership abilities, crafting proposals and outreach, processing and acknowledging donations, managing deadlines, and creating new as well as maintaining existing connections and donor relationships. The position requires organization, strong writing and communication expertise, flexibility, and the capability to think creatively about both long-term vision and day-to-day donor cultivation and appreciation. tasks/Job responsibilities: » Cultivate all levels of individual donors, including personal outreach to potential high-level supporters » Responsible for managing all aspects of grants, including writing applications and reports and seeking out new potential grant opportunities » Further develop the monthly giving program, planned giving, and our bequest fund » Maintain and grow our base of corporate sponsors and community partners » Oversight of data maintenance for all foundation grants, corporate support and individual donations in our CRM system » Develop/manage end-of-fiscal and end-of-calendar year fundraising plus all special campaigns » Generate, have signed, and mail all donor thank you letters in a timely fashion » Ideation/maintenance of donation acknowledgment emails and letters at least semi-annually » Board of Directors liaison; plan and arrange all Board meetings; recruit new Board members » Other tasks as assigned » Report directly to the Artistic Director practice and expertise required: » 2+ years fundraising practice » Attention to detail and strong organizational expertise » capability to work collaboratively within a small organization » expertise of G-Suite, Windows, Office, etc. » practice with a CRM system (Patron Manager preferred) » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise » practice/background in theatre is welcome but not required Act II's work environment is friendly and collaborative; we strive for a ?culture of nice? that encompasses our administrative and artistic staff, designers and artists, and our donors and patrons.
