Whenever a program has a need for temporary support, this pool will be reviewed to obtain potential candidates. candidates will be contacted directly by the hiring officials to arrange an interview, if qualified and needed.*Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions. However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions, or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. Pay Rate $10.00/hour or higher Minimum practice/Education * High School diploma or GED or equivalent. Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/suitable education tasks and Responsibilities » Responsibilities may include: general customer service and reception to patrons, providing assistance to patrons with equipment and programming needs, assisting with maintenance and cleaning of equipment, teaching classes or providing direction for patrons during classes or activities, providing a safe environment within the facilities as assigned.
