Job Summary Finance and Administration Information Technology is seeking an Application Development Manager. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE),12-month, professional faculty position.

This position reports to the Director for Division of Finance and Administration (DFA)IT Technical Solutions Architecture (TSA) and will supervise a team of analyst programmers within the TSA group of DFA Information technology TSA.

We are a focused team of developers, analysts, and admins that are looking towards the future for innovative ideas and exciting ways to approach solutions to customers' problems. We build solutions that allow for growth and enhancements all over the lifecycle of the solution. We are seeking towards the forefront of programming and evaluating what could be a value add to our solutions. We build solutions to work with and enhance the enterprise's ecosystem and architecture. We break down silos to find the best path forward and blaze the trail, while laying a foundation of work by being the best at the basics, so that we are trusted partners inside and outside the university.

This position will work collaboratively with departmental stakeholders through all units within DFA, the TSA Director and DFA Information technology staff to analyze stakeholder needs and convert those needs into effective solutions. tasks will also include support and development of relational databases, web applications, mobile applications, and reports. The Application Development Manager will directly supervise the programmers in the TSA group as well as student employees as needed. Solutions will be located on specifics of each project, but typically include Microsoft Power Platform applications, and other third party purchased solutions, development in-house, or a combination of both.

This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of the work produced by the TSA programming employees. This position will coordinate with the DFA Information technology leadership abilities on the management of the budget for development needs, employees, equipment, facilities, and customer service provided. This position is considered a working manager and will be split between development tasks and management of development employees.

This position hybrid and is flexible on the location of work, but will be required to be on site in Corvallis, OR for projects as needed.

What You Will Need
   » Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and practice.
   » knowledge of and capability to integrate systems including operating systems, applications, networks, and databases, and knowledge of distributed processing technology.
   » capability to use one or more industry standard programming languages.
   » practice utilizing application development versioning control and workflows.
   » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
   » 4+ years practice working in a professional programming field.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
