Special Conditions: The department is especially interested in candidate's with a Bachelor's degree in nursing, education, counseling, or related field and practice in recruitment, admissions, and academic advising, preferably in a higher education setting.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities: Academic Advising & Counseling: Knowledge of course arrangement and academic planning; capability to provide counseling to assist students in course selection, study expertise, and career development plans for academic and personal success. Demonstrates in-depth practice with managing a full spectrum of academic counseling functions. Compares and contrasts educational options that facilitate or impede students' academic skill development. Organizes follow-up consultations to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of academic programs. Solves or prevents academic-related problems located on students' feedback and inquiries. practice with e-advising.

Communication: capability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs by applying appropriate communication behaviors. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language. Ensures important messages are clearly understood.

Information Management: capability to identify, capture and document significant information in an auditable, organized, understandable, and easily retrievable manner. Ensures that all exceptions and unusual circumstances are properly captured and reviewed. Facilitates others knowledge of how the recording of information impacts other departments. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to the nursing programs offered at the Lambuth campus that align with the college and university's mission, vision, and strategy.

Represent the university at college fairs, high schools, middle schools, community events, and other significant venues to promote nursing programs and engage with prospective students.

Collaborate with LCON's marketing team to develop engaging recruitment materials and campaigns tailored to targeted student demographics. These materials will be used in recruitment activities and circulated via social media and other channels.

Manage communication with current students, prospective students, and external stakeholders regarding informational items, deadlines, enrollment, financial aid opportunities, program changes, and events.

Serves as liaison between other colleges, admissions and records, information technology, and other significant local, regional, and national associations.

Provide individualized academic advisement to pre-nursing students, helping them navigate the university's general education requirements and prerequisites for admission into the nursing program.

Assist students in creating personalized academic plans aligning with their career goals and strengths.

Offer guidance on course selection, extracurricular activities, and other opportunities that enhance students' preparation for nursing school.

Collaborate with Lambuth campus admissions and advising staff.

Guide students through the application process for the nursing programs, including submission of transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statements, and other requirements as needed.

Coordinate with the university admissions and advising offices to ensure timely and accurate materials processing.

Collaborate with college staff to address any inquiries or concerns about the application process and admissions requirements.

Maintain accurate student interactions, applications, and enrollment data records in applicable advising systems.

Generate reports on recruitment activities, application trends, and student results for program assessment and strategic planning purposes.
