Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week)
Student Worker (Social Media Specialist) positions for the department of Community Relations and Marketing at Oregon State University - Cascades (OSU-Cascades) located in Bend, Oregon.
The social media specialist position exists to support OSU-Cascades' marketing team with the production of content for OSU's institutional level social networks.
This position will help develop, create and execute content for Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook.
This might include tasks like taking photos, producing video content, composing posts, composing stories, creating mini social media campaigns, creating social media contests, creating snapchat filters and more.
The social media specialist position is heavily focused on multimedia production.
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.50 per hour.

Position tasks 60% Content production. Including photos, video, written posts, and other media collateral.
20% Creative brainstorming. Meet weekly with web specialist to determine weekly content.
10% Research and analytics. This work includes reviewing analytics for OSU's social networks to determine what content is most effective
10% Other tasks as assigned.

Additional Required Qualifications Interest or practice with social media, photography and/or video.
A commitment to creating inclusive content for diverse audiences.
practice with photography or videography. Familiarity using a DSLR or other production camera is not required. If you have a history creating quality content with a smartphone that is perfectly acceptable.
availability to work as a team and take creative direction from others.
capability to communicate concepts and ideas in a clear manner.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications Advanced practice with the Adobe Creative Suite.
Photography practice with landscapes, architectural and portraits. practice shooting and editing video.
practice creating social posts for a brand.
